Effectiveness Scientifically Proven

Mosquito Control Effectiveness Validated by Science

A scientific study conducted in 2016 by CHU de Nice and IRD-CNRS de Montpellier demonstrates BioBelt’s effectiveness against tiger mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus) and all types of mosquitoes:

– 50% reduction in bites from the first week
– Zero bites from the 6th week
– Results published in 2018 in the journal “Entomologie Parasites & Vecteurs”

Operating Principle
BioBelt forms a belt of modules around the area to be protected. Each module faithfully reproduces human respiration and naturally exhaled acids, creating lures that effectively attract mosquitoes to biological traps.
This approach generates a dual effect: targeted elimination of mosquitoes in their habitat and the creation of a natural protective barrier.
‍
Proven Effectiveness

– Protection against tiger mosquitoes and all other species
– Progressive and lasting reduction of nuisances
– System adapted to every type of space
– 100% natural method without chemicals

The custom configuration of inter-module distances and diffusion powers ensures optimal effectiveness according to the specificities of each environment.

Mosquito Protection Without Environmental Compromise.

An alternative to chemicals: Unlike traditional chemical methods that generate resistance and environmental pollution, our system respects biodiversity.
‍Targeted protection: The scientific study demonstrates that 96% of captured insects are harmful mosquitoes, thus preserving pollinators and beneficial fauna.
Controlled CO2 emissions: A BioBelt installation protecting 2,500 m2 emits only the equivalent of 1.2 adults’ respiration over one year. Our sourcing prioritizes bio-sourced CO2, reinforcing our commitment to a neutral carbon cycle.

An Innovative Trapping Technology

BioBelt is inspired by the natural behavior of mosquitoes to create an innovative trapping solution. Our biomimetic approach reproduces attractive human signals: respiration and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Patented protective belt concept: Modules arranged in a network around the living areas to be protected form an invisible barrier that:

– Attracts and captures mosquitoes within the perimeter using a controlled CO2 diffusion system
– Blocks the intrusion of external mosquitoes through a network of individual CO2-powered traps
– Creates progressive lines of defense with an optimized flow rate greater than 0.5 g/h per meter of distance between adjacent traps

Internationally protected innovation: Our technology is subject to patent PCT/FR2016/050132 “Complex Mosquito Trap for Outdoor Spaces,” validating the uniqueness of our multi-trap approach with a centralized flow regulator and a flow limiter in each trap.
Over 10 years of R&D: Our laboratory, led by an entomologist, refines this unique technology, including the rearing of Aedes albopictus and Culex pipiens mosquitoes. This scientific expertise has allowed us to develop a system whose effectiveness has become a benchmark.
